The C.I.M. is over 75 years old and,
as from the 1930s has been responsible for organising,
magnificent races for cruiser-racer yachts.
It was also responsible for the application of the R.O.R.C. rating rules in 1951;
for the creation of the Giraglia, a race based on an idea of Beppe Croce, in 1953;
and the creation of rating rules for classic boats in 1999,
which is about to be applied world-wide.
Today the C.I.M. continues to strive towards the aims of its founders, i.e.
to further, federate and maintain the identity of Mediterranean Yachting |
