Assignment

Since 1926, it has been organizing, regulating and harmonizing offshore regattas in the Mediterranean.

Founded in 1926 by a group of yachtsmen, the International Committee for the Mediterranean (CIM) pursues the objectives of its founders: to organize ocean-going regattas in order to promote and strengthen the identity of Mediterranean yachting.

Wishing to be more attentive than ever to the owners of traditional yachts, the CIM has redefined its organization; this is a real turning point in its history.

Organization

The head office is now and permanently located in the Principality of Monaco, while the general secretariat can, on the contrary, be housed in turn by the four founding yacht clubs. Currently he is in Genoa at the Yacht Club Italiano.

The CIM is administered by an executive committee made up of three members for each of the four founding countries, which are Spain, France, Italy and Monaco. It is also headed by an executive office made up of the President, the Secretary General and the Treasurer.

Its international tonnage commission has the superintendence of the application of tonnage regulations and the issuance of tonnage certificates.

This reorganization was necessary to keep our maritime heritage intact and thus ensure the continuity of vintage and classic yacht regattas.

A real challenge!
