Porquerolle's Classic: A tour of the island and it's over...

A little easterly breeze, bright sunshine, azure skies... The conditions were ideal for this final day of the Porquerolle's Classic. On the day's program for the 500 sailors, a magnificent course around the Island of Porquerolles. With 3 races validated, the winners of this 20th edition of the Porquerolle's Classic are Kiwi Magic (12m JI), Falcon (Epoque Marconi), Palynodie II (Classique Marconi) and Chips (Epoque Aurique). See you in 2024 from June 6 to 9 for the 21st edition of the Porquerolle's Classic and from June 16 to 24 for the 12m JI World Championship.

A truly beautiful finale for this last day of the Porquerolle's Classic. The 50 sailboats set off at 11 a.m. on a superb 11.3 mile course around the island of Porquerolles. This essential course of the Porquerolle's Classic is also very appreciated by competitors as much for its sublime setting as for the tactics with winds which are not always easy to manage. Everyone will leave with unique memories.

By crossing the finish line in 01h 56min Kiwi Magic sets a new lap record in the Porquerolle's Classic . The day's race was won by Kiwi Magic (12m JI), Falcon (Epoque Marconi), Palynodie II (Classique Marconi) and Lulu (Epoque Aurique).

For its 20th edition, the Porquerolle's Classic, masterfully organized by the Porquerolles Yacht Club, has indeed kept all its promises by offering, at sea, a sublime spectacle and incredible fights in each of the categories. And on land, smiles, sharing, conviviality, good humor were there.

At the end of these three days of racing, the big winners of the 20th edition of the Porquerolle's Classic are:

Kiwi Magic – 12m JI

By winning all the races of the weekend, Kiwi Magic won the 20th edition of the Porquerolle's Classic ahead of France 1 and South Australia .

Falcon - Marconi Period

Leading in the general classification before the tour of the island, Falcon won once again and thus won the Porquerolle's Classic. Buruna of 1938 and Serenade complete the podium.

Palynody II - Marconi Classic

By winning the Porquerolles tour today, Palynodie II also wins in the general classification ahead of Arcadia III and Optimist.

Chips - Auric Period

Class P Chips climbs to the top of the podium ahead of defending champion Class P Olympian and Lulu.

The Porquerolles Yacht Club is already welcoming all competitors for the 21st edition of the Porquerolle's Classic from June 6 to 9, 2024. The Porquerolle's Classic 2024 will precede the flagship event of the 2024 season for the Yacht Club de Porquerolles: the 12m JI World Championship from June 16 to 24, 2024.
