Seven days of regattas under the sign of elegance

The Croisette will once again vibrate from September 18 to 24, 2022, to the rhythm of the forty-fourth edition of the Régates Royales - Banque Populaire Méditerranée - Marinepool - Cannes Town Hall - with a fleet of around fifty Dragons and an armada more of eighty classic yachts, some of which are happily over a hundred years old!

A week of regatta off the Lérins Islands for a fleet divided into eight categories according to the size, age and rigging of the sailboats. An exceptional gathering since the largest and most famous yachts of the last century and before come to battle such as the majestic Elena of London (55m, Nathanaël Herreshoff design built in 2009), Cambria (40m, William Fife design built in 1928) , Sunshine (38m, William Fife Junior design built in 2003), Aschanti IV (34.67m, Henry Gruber design built in 1954), the two Moonbeam of Fife (30m, William Fife design built in 1903) and Moonbeam IV (35m, William Fife design built in 1914) or the 15mJI Mariska (27.00m, William Fife design built in 1908), ... The Cannes Yacht Club is also one of the oldest in France since it was in the spring of 1859 that Messrs Béchard , Tripet Skrypitzone, from Colquhoum and Bucquet created the Société des Régates with as its first meeting, a race in the bay of La Napoule where Léro, Olga, Jeannette, tourists and small local boats with sails or oars of Cannes fishermen met. The Régates Royales de Cannes, a true classic yachting world championship where Classics, Metrics, Tofinou, Dragon, Star and One Tone meet.
